My
name is Santá Andujar and I'm of Puerto Rican descent. Born in Puerto
Rico, residing in Maine.
After collaborating with another Native American artist to create
Penobscot dolls. I found a craft that I never knew how to do before till
then. I was very proud of dolls that I have perfected. It was then that I
took notice of a possibility of a doll of my own culture. So with that
same dedication to my previous dolls, I have also put into my Puerto Rican
dolls, with extensive research on how they wore their clothing to the
themes of dances.
I proudly make traditionally dressed (circa 17-18th century) Puerto Rican
dolls. All originally designed and sewn. The dolls are approximately 14"
tall, polyester fiberfill, clothing from cotton, rayon, polyester.
