It's
hard to imagine, but Microsoft spent hundreds of millions (Yeah, I said
hundreds of millions - about $300 million ¡Ay Bendito!) to promote its
latest version of MSN. AOL Time Warner spent a similar amount to advertise
its newest release. And then there were those Yahoo! talking dolphin
commercials - did you ever think you could begin to dislike a dolphin?
As
a site that is free, our website can't match these marketing
budgets. (And, if we had $300 million...well, we'd probably be on an
extended vacation someplace warm and tropical, HINT, HINT.) That's why
we're counting on you - our most loyal and (might we add) best looking
Boricua users - to help get the word out about The Puerto Rican Arts,
Culture and Events website.
Who wouldn't want to hear about that?
We
want this website to be the
destination for Boricuas looking for Arts, cultural information and events.
Here are some ideas:
1. Say nice things about us to your friends and family... repeatedly, up
until the point that it becomes annoying.
2. Get on the rooftop and shout "Puerto Rican Power" at the top
of your lungs. Do this until the police show up.
3. Cut and paste the Puerto Rican Power URL (www.puertoricanpower.net)
and send it in an email to everyone you know.
4. Use our form
(just because we don't spam people doesn't mean you can't), or add a
Puerto Rican Power banner (see below) to your Web site.
So thanks for taking the time to tell your friends and family about the
newest Boricua site on the Internet - Puerto
Rican Power.
It is the ultimate compliment. And we appreciate it.
